Being small does
not equal being healthy; neither does being fat
equal being unfit. Weight loss diets fail us 95%
of the time, but we can achieve a better state of
health, improve mobility, and feel better through
being active. With these goals, success is always
achievable.
So, where to start? Are you looking for an exercise program
you can enjoy - even if you haven't moved off the
couch for years? Is going to a gym intimidating
or too costly? Do you prefer the privacy of your
own home for getting physical? Maybe an exercise
video is just what you need.
Exercise
videos have been around for as long as VCRs have;
before that we had exercise audio tapes. Very few
of those ever took into consideration the fact
that many of us are out of condition and/or have
large bodies.
Fortunately
that has changed. Today here is a fine selection
of exercise tapes geared specifically for the
bountiful body. Some are now available in DVD (as marked
below). We have selected some of our
favorites and recommend that you consider giving
one (or all) a try. This section of SizeWise.com
has been created to help you make your selection.
The
videos were shown to a group of 25 volunteer
participants. These people all have large bodies
and are at various levels of fitness. At the end
of each video, participants were asked to rate it
in various categories and provide a brief
commentary. A scale of 1 to 10 was used with 10
being excellent and 1 being unacceptable.
None
of the reviewers of these videos are fitness
experts. These comments are purely from the view
of people interested and active in fitness
programs.

on the video name below to read more about its
content and to hear what the volunteers had to
say. Each video is available online and links to
each related site is also included.
