The Size Wise Excellence Award was created in 1997 to honor size-positive web sites and their owners. If a site expresses respect for people of all sizes, encourages a non-diet approach to improved health, spreads the word that nobody should wait until they have lost weight to enjoy all that life has to offer, or shows that you - a person of size - are quite comfortable with yourself, it may be eligible to receive this award. (Sorry, but sexually explicit sites are ineligible for the award. It is important that parents feel comfortable with their young teens visiting Size Wise and following the links.)

Let us know if you would like for your site to be considered for the Size Wise Excellence Award. Or, if you have a favorite size-positive site and would like to see it receive the award, feel free to submit a nomination. If chosen, the site owner will receive notification via email.

Keep in mind that not every site nominated will receive this award. For instance, there are sites online that sell dresses for plus- and super-size women, yet also sell diet programs. This sort of mixed message is not appropriate to the spirit of the Size Wise Excellence Award. Each site nominated will be evaluated for it's size-positive content.
